Peace and Quiet

Peace and Quiet is a new creative format Erin and I have been working with that combines practices of silence, meditation, and nature observation with art and creativity.

During our time in silence we refrain from talking, gesturing, touching, or making contact of any kind with our fellow travelers. Yes, it can be awkward. And delicious.  

Find peace in some silent crafting. Meditate. Walk by the river. Take a trip to the beach. Sit by the fire. Do nothing. Make something. It’s your day.

The next Peace and Quiet is happening Sat. Jan. 19 - Sun. Jan 20.

You are welcome to come for just the day on Sun. Jan 20.

If you come, consider bringing an art supply for the craft table.

Sample Agenda

Aside from the group activities suggested, the day is open space to create peace and quiet in your life in whatever way you feel called. Depending on if the retreat is overnight or just a single day, this schedule will be modified.

8:30 AM Breakfast

10 AM Group Meditation (Everyone requested for the first 20 mins)

12 PM Lunch

2 PM Group Meditation (Everyone requested for the first 20 mins)

Sunset Break Silence followed by dinner and conversation

We have limited space for overnight guests. It is a potent experience to arrive the evening before and wake to a full day in silence. We are also exploring a single day option to make it more accessible for people who can't get away easily for an overnight. What sounds more feasible for you?
